CARLSON'S LODGE, Twin Mountain

Carlson's Lodge, located off-road on 50 wooded acres, has hotel rooms with flat-screen TVs with HDMI cords, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and private bathrooms. Rooms offer one full-size bed, one queen bed with a sitting area, one king bed with a sitting area, two full-size beds, or two queen beds. Deluxe corner rooms include a two-burner stove, refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Two-room family suites have two adjoining rooms, one with two twin beds and another with one queen bed, plus a kitchen area. Kitchenettes include a two-burner stove, refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.

The AMC Highland Center offers dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and buffets on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., plus breakfast and lunch daily.

Carlson's Lodge provides a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden, and a terrace. Guests have access to a living room lobby with an upstairs balcony and a game room featuring ping pong, bumper pool, and pool tables. An outdoor pool, child playground, and pond are located on the property. Nearby activities include summer and winter hiking, exploring the Flume Gorge, and crawling through caves at Lost River. Seven ski areas are within a 45-minute drive, including Bretton Woods and Cannon Mountain (10 minutes away). Guests can go canoeing, kayaking, and golfing at five courses. A wildlife center and the Old Man Historic Site are nearby.

Carlson's Lodge is in Twin Mountain, bordered by the White Mountain National Forest. The lodge is 1 km from Twin Mountains, 4 km from The Rocks Estate, 3 km from Sugarloaf Trail, 3 km from North Sugarloaf, and 4 km from Middle Sugarloaf. Hiking trails to Mount Washington (Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail and Jewel Trail), the Presidential Range (Adams, Madison, Jefferson, Clay, Washington, Monroe, Franklin, Eisenhower, Jackson, Webster), and Franconia Notch (Lafayette, Lincoln, Cannon) are nearby. The Cog Railway to the top of Mount Washington is also close.

Carlson's Lodge provides free private parking and free Wi-Fi access. A fridge and microwave are available for guest use. The building is smoke-free.
